Technician Jeremy did excellent work to restore all the electricity outlets on my lanai. He explained what he was doing and got right to it in a very professional way. He obviously had a lot of experience and knew exactly what to do. He also had a very warm and kind attitude. He cleaned the area when he finished and I was 100% pleased with his work and would be happy to have him back at any time. I am pleased with all of the work that this company does and satisfied with their home service plan, which I have had for several years.
Boston Comb of Plumbing Nerds spent the day with us. He had to replace a lot of water valves as well as rebuild two toilets that were running occasionally on their own. What a nice young man! He had to remove our stuff that was under sinks and very neatly put everything back when he was done! Boston is knowledgeable, having been raised in a home where his dad was a plumber, and he has been using wrenches since he was a child. I saw him take a toilet apart and change the gaskets and put it back together in just a few minutes! He’s good! I highly recommend Plumbing, Electrical and Cooling nerds for your home.
I called PN to fix a leaky faucet. They told me I needed a new filter on the house and new cartridges in the faucet to fix the problem long term = $3500+. They replaced them. The next day they leaked again. They told me it was a problem with how the toilet was tied into the sinks and wouldn't come back after calling them 3+ times. After finding a reputable plumber I discovered PN replaced my cartridges with generic cartridges with plastic valves instead of the brass fittings in the brand name. Stay away... not a trustworthy outfit. A week after saying they would investigate it and get back to me (below) I have heard nothing… Update: Spoke to Chris at Plumbing Nerds. They had everything well documented down to when phone calls were made. This allowed us to get to an amicable resolution. While they didn’t get it right the 1st time they followed up and made it right. I appreciate the integrity.
My 83-year-old mother, who has Alzheimer’s and lives alone in Bonita Springs, was sold nearly $15,000 in plumbing and filtration systems within two days of a routine home inspection. There was no emergency repair—just an aging water heater—yet the most expensive option was selected, bundled with a whole-home filtration system and an auto-renewing service plan. All charges were processed immediately. No family member or legal guardian was contacted. Be very careful! Families with elderly parents should be extremely cautious and insist on being present before any estimates or work are approved.
On Friday, January 23, close to 6pm, I had Zach Talvy from Plumbing Nerds come to my house to fix a valve issue with my washing machine. He knew that I had been waiting all day and sensing my frustration, was very apologetic. Then he got to work. When he went to turn off the all the water to the condo, he noticed my AC was leaking/dripping and made sure I was aware. So I called my AC guy, who said he could come out the next day. Zach explained everything to me, told me what he needed to do, how long it would take, etc. It took him about an hour to finish up with the washer and then he turned all the water back on to test everything and started to clean up. That's when we noticed water leaking from under my sink. My garbage disposal had just taken its last breath. This was truly the Trifecta of home ownership - all in one day! Fortunately, Zach had a new garbage disposal on his truck and replaced for me it on the spot. He is one of the nicest, most professional and thorough contractors I've ever used. I would highly recommend him!
