They really want to make this out to be a five star hotel so bad. Sadly it's barely even a 2. A half cleaned half renovated mess. Staff is RUDE as soon as you ask them something they give immediate attitude because they don't understand English. I inquired about a bag so that I could bring my breakfast to my room. The rude receptionist at the front desk said there's no breakfast allowed in the room. Like really I've never been to a hotel that has such a stupid rule. If you're paying your money your comfort should be 1st priority. Furthermore if I buy food out and I want to eat it in the room that's what I'm going to do. Worst hotel ever definitely not worth the money. I will not be back! Spend your money at the Hampton Inn across the street.
I had to book here at last minute on a work trip when I had a negative experience elsewhere. The front desk woman was very polite and offered a small discount due to my situation. The lobby smells very nice, there's a nice snack selection, a clean swimming pool, the room was very clean and comfortable. I'm not happy that the other hotel was such a negative experience, but I'm very happy that I wound up here instead!
We have stayed here 3 different times over 3 years and have found the rooms were clean, sheets and pillows clean and fresh. You can tell they are upgrading the bathrooms. Check-in has always been pleasant and helpful especially when asking about local amenities such as a very short drive to Shriners Children's Hospital when you have an appointment. I would agree that some check-out staff's communication during check out is lacking customer service skills.
A decent hotel , good experience for the price. Bed + pillows were comfortable. Walls are thin, especially when the folks in your hall are arguing at 3am.
I have never stayed at a hotel and I trust me I stay at a lot of hotels for my job. For a hotel to tell me that I can't take a plate of breakfast up to my room to sit and enjoy as i'm getting ready for work. The shower doesn't even get warm. This is unacceptable. I will not be staying here again. Hampton Inn will be getting my busy next time.
