This hotel was a fantastic stay in an unbeatable location! The room was modern and stylish, with sleek black finishes in the bathroom that gave it a sophisticated feel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the Smart TV was a nice touch for winding down after a day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, offering made-to-order omelets, waffles, sausage, and a variety of cereals, muffins, and bagels—something for everyone before heading out for the day. I visited during Jazz Fest weekend, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. It was within walking distance of the jazz club, making it easy to enjoy the festivities without worrying about transportation. The hotel is also surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars, and rooftop lounges, so there was never a shortage of places to eat, drink, and soak up the local atmosphere. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with easy access to entertainment, dining, and nightlife, this is definitely a property worth considering.
I stayed here for three nights and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several areas. Housekeeping was only provided every other day, and even then the quality was very poor. The bathroom toilet wasn’t cleaned at all, making the service feel rushed and unprofessional. The bathroom also had extremely low water pressure. While it was eventually repaired, the issue affected the first day of my stay. This should have been identified and fixed before the room was assigned to a guest. Breakfast was by far the weakest part of the stay. The bagels tasted like they had come straight from the freezer and were hard rather than fresh. There was no quality sliced white bread, and the fruit cocktail was clearly canned instead of fresh. Overall, the breakfast selection was well below the standard I expect from a Hampton Inn. The front desk staff often seemed more focused on chatting with each other than helping guests waiting in line. Customer service lacked a sense of urgency. Finally, valet parking at $25 per night is difficult to justify when the parking garage is directly underneath the hotel. Given how convenient the garage is, the valet service offers very little added value for the price. Overall, this stay did not meet the standards I normally associate with Hampton
If you want to leave a strongly worded review about poor management and an unacceptable guest experience, here’s a polished version that gets the point across without overstating anything: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The level of disorganization and lack of management is unacceptable, especially for a brand that claims to prioritize guest service. This experience reflects extremely poor management and a serious lack of customer care. I expected much better from a Hampton Inn. I would not recommend staying here until management addresses these operational failures and ensures guests are treated with the professionalism and respect they deserve.
Very nice hotel, Joby at front desk was professional and welcoming! Location is great, right on the river couple of eateries within a stone's throw and downtown was just across the pedestrian bridge. Everything within walking distance. Valet Parking was $25 and worth it as parking in town is $10/hour. Our king room was good size and the 5th floor view was great. Shower was great but miss the handheld shower attachment, that, and the high price room, was only thing lacking for our stay. Breakfast was ok to good, chicken sausage just not my favorite, but waffles were great and the breakfast staff kept everything clean and food fresh. Yes, would stay here again.
Beds are comfortable. Our refrigerator froze so we lost about $100 worth of food. Our friend owns a deli in town so we stocked up but sadly lost all that food. Also the cream rinse in the shower was empty. We had to step into the shower to close the bathroom door because someone did some bad math when they built that bathroom. We asked for a room on the highest floor with a balcony. They said they only had one room with a balcony left. They gave us a toom over the restaurant and the heat from their ovens flowed up to us. I called immediately to the checkin, told them that room doesn’t work and they put us in the room above ours. How is it that 10 minutes before they told us no other rooms were available? Also it seemed that the frontdesk and valet were not around when we came downstairs to get our car. We were always waiting or looking for help. Aside from that- it’s a great location on the riverwalk.
