Really great experience here. Would recommend! Service was great and food was really tasty! Asked for less salt and less oil for Asian standards and they delivered! Fried rice was really fragrant as well! Would definitely recommend the beef. Do make a reservation prior to heading down
Good food you cant ignore! As you all know, trying to find a nice restaurant that ticks all the boxes can be a challenge. Me Wah meets this challenge head on. Right from the outset the professional service was on right on queue! The atmosphere is great for an intermit night for two. The meticulously artwork on the walls engenders a good meal in the waiting. The restaurant has had numerous awards, the menu is to say the least extensive including the desserts. For me it’s the wine list (Grange, Hill of Grace and some expensive Boudreaux’s) that compliments the food and redefines the status of a restaurant. The service was really great and its what you would expect to compliment great food. The food was really good. The soups were first class and the roast duck is as expected, flavoursome with crispy skin. All in all the best Asian cuisine I have had in quite a while.
What a delightful restaurant. It was the first time my partner and I visited Launceston and had trouble finding a restaurant that was open late on a Sunday night. The staff were ever so polite and even suggested to cook several dishes not listed on the menu as my partner is very particular about food. For starters, we had Chicken and Sweet Corn and Hot and Sour soup. For mains, we went with the Hokkien Noodles, Szechuan Chicken (without chilli) and the Beef with vegetables. Everything was super tasty. Not only was the food good, but I have to say, the service was exceptional. Water was topped up frequently and all the service staff were very polite. Best service I've had at a restaurant ever! Highly recommended and would eat there again if we find ourselves in Launceston.
What an amazing food experience. Let’s start with the initial impression. The premises is located within a mixed residential light industrial area. The external impression is nothing special other than being clean & intriguing as you wonder what is beyond the doors. As you enter you are greeted by friendly welcoming staff who welcomed you by name before you told them who you were. We were seated in a welcoming room that was typically a local Chinese restaurant but elevated in its execution with beautiful artwork & relaxing music. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and made us feel relaxed immediately. The food was incredibly well crafted with authentic wok hey notes.Clean flavours not drowned in oil & cooked with much pride and passion for the Me Wah brand. Whilst our food was vegetarian the flavours and textures were amazing. The only unfortunate aspect of this experience is that we cannot have this in Sydney. Thankyou Me Wah, I will be back. 🙏
What an incredible Culinary experience. My partner and I ordered the Signature Menu Banquet. The food was exquisite. We dined our way through the extensive banquet over the next 2.5 hours. The staff were so attentive to our every need. Thank you for providing such an incredible experience.
