Authentic Indian food at the Spice Lounge Launceston. Food was really delicious the chicken and the lamb biryani is a must get at this restaurant. The Service is really good and the staff here are kind and gentle. The atmosphere is great and the music is a mix of traditional and Bollywood taste. Although food arrived a little late everything was prepared normally. Overall a really pleasant experience at the Spice Lounge Launceston.
Spice Lounge Indian Restaurant offers a decent selection of Indian dishes with an average taste. While the menu includes a variety of traditional options, the flavours and spice levels feel a bit toned down compared to authentic Indian cuisine. It’s a fair choice if you’re looking for a simple Indian meal, but don’t expect anything too special or bold in flavour.
Came to the Spice Lounge as they opened and Front of house service was understaffed and juggling seating everyone whilst having the phone glued to her ear.No greeting or Menus and female was curt! Guy who took our order was friendly and nice. Starters were lovely, mains i.e butter prawns and chicken jalfrezi were watery and bland. They also did not ask me if I had any allergies. If you go here be prepared to serve yourself,and don't order any mains or be in a rush to get home.Also they tried charging me for plastic containers!!
Had such a delicious meal here, four of us had the banquet and a few beers and wine. A really enjoyable feed and a cute and cozy restaurant. Loved the decor and the look of the place, there are really cool notes left on the walls from previous patrons. The food was unreal and we were so full afterwards. Highly recommend.
The atmosphere was fantastic, beautiful and absolutely authentic. Beautiful staff and wonder service. I'm very particularly about my Indian cuisine, as I have very deep folded connections with my heritage. The spice lounge charmed me beyond what I could imagine. Food is genuinely lit with beautiful flavours and amazing taste. I loved the butter chicken with naan and the authentic lamb Rogan. Superb and just perfectly cooked with that branded touch of spice house spice. I'm looking forward to another authentic experience soon.
