We had a wonderful experience with La Cigale. They graciously accommodated a party of more than 20 people with less than 24 hours’ notice for a celebration of life. The food was exceptional, and the service was truly on point. I’ve always had amazing meals there over the years, and even with such short notice, this experience exceeded expectations. Their staff handled everything with warmth, professionalism, and care, which made a meaningful day feel seamless and special for our family and friends.
Excellent overall! We have been to most Delray restaurants but with La Cigale off the beaten path, we never tried it before this week. What a wonderful experience for us. We were in a party of 8. The service was excellent and the waiter had a great personality. The onion soup was delicious and large. I took half of it home so I'd have room for the entree. The seafood crepes were delicious. My wife had lamb chops, also delicious. Wednesday is free corkage night so we brought our own wine. La Cigale is now one of my top 3 Delray restaurants.
Love this place! Best restaurant around if you want a really good dining experience and the best food. The atmosphere is beautiful, service is great, and there is no doubt the chefs in the kitchen work hard and are passionate about putting the most into making the best food around.
My husband was not feeling well when we first arrived, and they were so attentive to him. They made us feel so comfortable and welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Fortunately, we were able to stay and enjoy an excellent dinner.
Good location, a few blocks off the Avenue. Diners were an older crowd, but the restaurant was full, and we sat at the bar. We ordered Escargots and Greek salad as appetizers and Mussels and Steak for the mains. Everything was very underwhelming, not totally bad, just underwhelming. The salad was $26 but really should have been $12, the Mussels were $40+ but really should have been $18 to $22, the steak was maybe $50 tops instead of $70, you get the picture. We ended up spending $285 what really should have been half that. There is really nothing to pay a premium for. Yes, they have valet parking (we walked over), The restaurant is nice enough on the inside, but not enough by any means to warrant premium pricing. For the size and quality you are receiving, everything is way overpriced. We thought that by going a little off the beaten path, if you will, we would get better pricing and quality compared to what has turned out to be a horrendous restaurant scene (based on quality/pricing) in Delray's Atlantic Avenue/Pineapple corridor.
