BLUF: APE SOLAR is THE BEST, DA BOMB, and THE BEES KNEES!!! (ha that should cover a few gens 😊) After touring their company/solar home in Gulf Breeze I knew this was the team for me! Josh & Jennie are so down-to-earth (the round earth btw), not once did I feel pressure to buy a product or hurry up and decide…I LOVE THAT!! LONGER STORY: I’d been looking at getting Solar for 5+ yrs but the price/ROI was just not worth it. Then I learned about DIY solar in mid-2025. Now I'm pretty technical but my drilling-holes-in-things-skills are questionable, so I hired Chris at 850SolarServices to install who thankfully partners with Ape Solar…together they’re a dynamic duo! Our 31 panel / 2 BATTERY install went/looks great & the Ape Solar equipment (EG4 & Tigo) runs beautifully! (It’s so cool having the house run on batteries at night!) Now the design/permit process took a bit, mainly because I decided to change hardware but the permits also took time because of the 2025 solar rush…but the team comms kept flowing the whole time! The system was designed/sized perfectly and the install was quick & impeccable! (It looks/runs SOOOO GOOD!) There are some hardware bugs we still gotta work out but Josh @Ape Solar) and Chris @850SolarServices are fantastic at scheduling follow-ups and again communication is TOP NOTCH! (so important) I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!!! 100% RECOMMEND! P.S. I swear that AI did not write this…pretty sure you can tell. Also this was just 1 cup of coffee…don’t give me another.😁
When my solar installer went bankrupt and my system stopped working, I felt stuck. Every company I called either refused to service my panels because they didn’t install them or wanted to charge hundreds of dollars just to look at it, with no promise of fixing anything. This local company stepped up in a big way. One of their team members spent over an hour on the phone with me, patiently walking through troubleshooting steps. That level of customer service and integrity is rare. We were able to get the system working again, and I’m incredibly grateful. They’ve definitely earned my business going forward. If you’re looking for an honest solar company that truly wants to help, this is the one.
Hands down the best solar company in the SouthEast. They put their customers number 1 and are friendly and honest. Much different than the hard selling, door knocking solar companies that way overcharge. These people are great! Highly recommend!
24000 BTU | SEER2 21 | Energy Star Certified | Plug-n-Cool Do-It-Yourself Installation I consulted with Josh several times before purchasing this product, and he was consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. The installation process was straightforward, and the system has performed exceptionally well. I connected it to eight solar panels (also purchased from Ape Solar) and opted not to use any AC power. After running it through an entire Florida summer, I can confidently say this unit is outstanding. As soon as the sun is up, it immediately begins producing cold air, keeping my home at a steady 65 degrees throughout the day. I don’t even have to use my main air conditioner. Living on a farm in Florida, that level of cooling is a game-changer. I couldn’t recommend this product more highly. For any solar needs, I strongly encourage you to talk to Josh at Ape Solar.
DO NOT HESITATE to work with Ape Solar!!! Josh and Jennie were instrumental in helping me and my family get very close to energy independence. I now have a redundant system that will continue to work though grid outages, and I can sell back excess energy through net metering. Ape Solar helped us through the whole process and are extremely knowledgeable. YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF - I did, and I saved thousands of dollars. Their products are excellent quality and the tech support is second to none. I’m hooked on reliable, renewable energy solutions and Ape Solar is the best choice in the industry, bar none!
