I recommend you contact Thomas McAfee Funeral Home if you are pre-planning or having any kind of a service. The staff was so kind and informatiive. They did not try to upsell our family while we were making my husbands arrangements. We had a desert buffett for visitors that was just wonderful. May the good Lord continue to bless Thomas McAfee Funeral Home for their caring and loving ways. Tom McAfee was especially helpful. Joy Bailey
When our family unexpectedly lost my 36-year-old brother, Steven, we were thrust into the most devastating and traumatic experience of our lives. As any parent would be, my mom and dad were completely heartbroken and understandably struggled to make decisions in those first unimaginable days. As the oldest daughter, I took it upon myself to begin calling funeral homes. I don’t think I reached Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes until nearly midnight one evening, and I remember speaking with Grant. Despite the late hour, he never made me feel like an inconvenience. He answered every question with patience, kindness, and genuine compassion. From that very first conversation, I knew I had found the right place for our family, and throughout this entire process, I never once questioned that decision. There simply aren’t enough words to express what Thomas McAfee has meant to us. Every person we encountered treated us with extraordinary kindness, compassion, and respect. One detail that touched me deeply was that they always referred to my brother by his name—Steven—rather than speaking of him in detached or impersonal terms. Given the suddenness and trauma of our loss, that simple act of humanity meant more than I can adequately express. We were blessed to work closely with Cindy during the funeral planning process, and she is truly a treasure. Her only concern was honoring Steven and honoring our family’s wishes. She never pressured us into unnecessary upgrades or encouraged us to spend more than aligned with the service we envisioned. Instead, she gently guided us with incredible compassion, wisdom, and patience, allowing us the space to make difficult decisions without ever feeling rushed. Whether I was picking up death certificates, dropping off paperwork, making payments, or simply calling with another question, the staff consistently exceeded every expectation. We were never left wondering what came next because communication was exceptional from beginning to end. The attention to detail was remarkable. From playing Steven’s own music during our private family visitation, memorial service, and public visitation, to creating a beautiful memorial video, every detail reflected thoughtfulness and genuine care. One of the greatest gifts they gave our family was making it possible for us to have a private open-casket viewing. Because it took my parents time to make those incredibly difficult decisions, we weren’t sure that opportunity would still be possible. Thomas McAfee went above and beyond to ensure we had one final chance to say goodbye to my beloved brother, and that is something I will carry with gratitude for the rest of my life. They also graciously allowed our family the opportunity to say one final goodbye before Steven’s cremation, something my parents chose to do. Once again, every moment was handled with dignity, gentleness, and care. During the visitation, staff quietly came through offering coffee, water, and mints to family members—small gestures that may seem insignificant until you’re living through profound grief and realize you’ve forgotten to care for yourself. Those moments of kindness spoke volumes. This experience also gave me an entirely new appreciation for the calling these remarkable people have chosen. Walking alongside families on the worst days of their lives requires extraordinary compassion, emotional strength, and selflessness. Thomas McAfee doesn’t simply organize funeral services—they carry families through unimaginable heartbreak with grace, dignity, and genuine love. From that first late-night phone call with Grant to the moment we brought Steven’s urn home, every step of the journey was made just a little more bearable because of the incredible people at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes. I pray no one ever needs their services sooner than expected, but if that day comes, I cannot recommend them highly enough. We will never forget how they cared for Steven—but we’ll also never forget how they cared for us.
Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes gave us exceptional service during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. The service all around was excellent from the beginning to the end. Wendy is amazing with all of the logistics. She covered every single detail. The staff are most gracious from the administrators to the limo drivers. The whole experience was wonderful and my mom looked beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased unless it was free. Thank you to all of the staff!

My cousin passed away in Greenville. He lived all alone. I could not get down to handle his funeral arrangements. Grant from Tomas McAfee Funeral Homes was an immense help. We communicated by phone and he took care of everything the way I wanted it to be. This was so tragic for me and Grant was more then helpful, he was a great support at this terrible time. Anyone who is reading this I cannot recommend the highly enough.
